TAP Air Portugal plane crashes

The following events are those involving at least one passenger death where the aircraft flight had a direct or indirect role. Excluded would be events where the only passengers killed were stowaways, hijackers, or saboteurs. This list only includes events since 1970.

  1. 19 November 1977; TAP Air Portugal 727-200; CS-TBR; flight TP425; Funchal, Portugal: The aircraft touched down long on a wet runway, overran the runway, broke up, and caught fire. Six of the eight crew members and 125 of the 156 passengers were killed.
